With its sizable mintage the 1842 O dime is readily available in grades up through F-12. It becomes decidedly scarce in higher circulated grades and genuinely rare in Mint State. Gems are all but unknown. This issue is seldom found fully struck, with weakness noted at the opposing relief points of Liberty's head and the bow. The Small O mintmark reverse is more scarce than the Medium O (photos). The late die states of both are collectable and are included within the Top 100.阅读更多
