The 1879-O $10 gold eagle was the first gold eagle struck at the U.S. Mint after an 18-year lull following the Civil War. The Mint was clearly just getting back into the swing of things as a mere 1,500 pieces were struck there that year. Of those, it is estimated that less than 50 still exist in all grades.阅读更多
