Though 1948-D quarters typically are well struck and lustrous, they seem to have suffered more than the usual number of contact marks. This accounts for the serious drop-off in certified population from MS 66 to 67. This is a phenomenon that seems to have affected Denver Mint coins of all denominations during this period, the 1949-D half dollar being a particularly notable example.阅读更多
