This large mintage issue is common in all circulated grades, though it is less available in Mint State than the most common P-Mint half dimes of the 1840s. There are several repunched date varieties, and attributing these has proved to be a real challenge for numismatists. Traditionally, these have been lumped into two categories: 1849/8 and 1849/6, but the latter is not really distinct as to the underlying numeral or numerals.阅读更多
