硬币介绍
Five delivery warrants made between January 24 and April 14 account for the total assigned mintage of 220,643 pieces for calendar year 1807. This is a bit high for the two die marriages known of this date, so at least the first of these deliveries likely was comprised all or mostly of 1806-dated coins. Quarter dollars dated 1807 are slightly more scarce than the 1806 issue, and this lends greater credence to the idea that part of this year's mintage was dated 1806. Of the two die marriages, B-2 is slightly the more scarce, but there are few collectors of this series by varieties. Mint State survivors are scarce but not truly rare. Like the dimes dated 1807, the quarter dollars are often weakly struck, so collectors are advised to seek an example from an early die state that was evenly struck.阅读更多
