First struck in 1986, Gold Eagles are one of the world's most popular ways to buy gold. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively. Due to record demand for bullion gold, the mint did not strike any proof 2009 gold eagles.
